We’re hittin’ the road with our fall 2017 tailgate tour.
We are visiting a handful of university towns to celebrate one of our favorite times of year – football season. This year, we decided to make tailgating even more fun (if that’s possible) with our recreation of the Mutt Cutts van straight out of the famed 1994 classic, Dumb and Dumber. Who doesn’t love a trip down memory lane with Harry and Lloyd?!
To get this puppy on the road (no pun intended) was quite the tall order, so we teamed up with Chicago-based experiential marketing group, Outcold, to complete the task. If you were wondering how we did it: first, we found the perfect sprinter and wrapped the entire thing in shag carpet to emulate a dog’s fur coat; next, we carefully curated the interior to marry Graduate’s design with nods to the 90’s comedy, wrapping the walls in repurposed yardsticks, dressing the celling in a custom Petey print (paying homage to Blind Billy’s pet) and reupholstering the seats in a Graduate-signature, vintage plaid; and finally, we found some Dumb and Dumber enthusiasts to drive our Graduate Mutt Cutts van across the country.
Last weekend, our mobile mutt (with fully stocked Yetis, a roll-out grill and bumpin’ jams, we might add) made its first stop in Ann Arbor, MI where we fed those decked in maize and blue with hot dogs and potato chips. Nothing better.
Next up, we’re headed to the Cornhusker State to visit Lincoln, NE. Want to follow along with our tour? Map the mutt using #graduatemuttcutts.
